K of C Free Throw State Champions
By Tom Janaskie
Two local Greeneville youths were crowned state champions in the Knights of Columbus Free Shooting Competition in Nashville. Savannah Ayers won the 13 year-old Girls Division. Dylan Fields won the 10 year-old Boys Division. The two local competitors won their division four different times since the beginning of the year. In January, Ayers and Fields won the Greeneville shoot-off. That victory qualified them to travel to Morristown for the district round. By winning there, the two moved on to Knoxville for the regional where their win gave them a chance to be the best in the state.

Meet our Graduating Senior Students

Sawyer Brady-I can't believe graduation is finally here! I will be graduating from Greeneville High School. I am looking forward to attending Tusculum College in the fall, where I will be majoring in history and archaeology. I am also interested in the museum studies curriculum there. My future plans include earning a master's degree and then pursuing a doctoral degree. I would like to thank my family, my friends, and my Church for all their support and guidance.
Kayli Flanagan-It has been a difficult year for me, but one of my prayers has been answered; and I am graduating from South Greene High School.  I plan to take some college courses while hopefully working at something I enjoy.  I would like to thank everyone from Notre Dame who has been there for me and shown their support.  I will keep you all in my prayers.

Kelsey Horner - I am graduating as an Honors Scholar from Greeneville High School. I plan to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville this coming fall to begin my college education.  I am going to major in nursing and then hopefully go on after four years to obtain my license to become a nurse practitioner. I also plan on becoming an active member in the Catholic community while at the University of Tennessee.

Paul Loewenkamp - I am graduating as an Honors Scholar from Greeneville High School. After graduation, I plan to attend East Tennessee State University in the fall and major in history, with a possible minor in religious studies. I plan to stay active in the Church by helping out with whatever I can do around the ETSU Catholic Center.

Sarah Longworth - I graduated from Greeneville High School in December of 2007. I have all ready finished a semester at East Tennessee State University. In the fall semester, I will be working towards my Bachelor of Fine Arts at ETSU.

Victoria Longworth I am graduating from Greeneville High School and will be attending East Tennessee State University this fall. I am going to major in art. I am able to do so with my Hays Art Scholarship. I am very excited about pursuing art and didn’t really think I would be able to obtain the possibility. However, with the senior art show, it dawned on me that some people do like my work. It gives me great joy to know that.

From our Seminarian

Dustin Collins - Greetings to everyone back in Tennessee. This past school year has gone well, and I am very happy about finally getting to leave Missouri behind. It only seems like yesterday that I left Notre Dame and headed off to Conception Seminary College.

These past four years have been great for me, and I am ready to continue to do as the Lord wishes. I am not yet sure what next year holds, but I will keep you all informed. I thank you for your continuous support and prayers. I will always keep the community of Notre Dame in my prayers.
